Private Label Export Guide

MOQ packaging labelling and quality

Private Label Export Guide

Analysis

Private-label economics depend on packaging minimums, printing costs, shelf life, label language and destination-market rules as well as product price. The same product may face different requirements in different markets.

Practical approach

RFQs should specify weight, ingredients, packaging, MOQ, certificates, sample timing and artwork ownership. Retain an approved reference sample before mass production.

Pre-production approvals

Collect packaging artwork, ingredients, allergen declarations, barcodes, origin statements, expiry-date formats and destination-language requirements in one approval file. Obtain written artwork and sample sign-off before mass production.

Decision framework

Before acting, document the product scope, destination market, verifiable sources, responsible parties and material risks. Compare alternative scenarios and recheck variable information such as regulations and prices at the time of transaction.

From sample to production

Approve a reference sample together with specifications, tolerances, pack dimensions and artwork. Apply pre-shipment inspection and batch traceability to the first production run. Specify tooling and artwork ownership contractually.

Implementation checklist

  1. Document product, destination market and commercial scope.
  2. Link source documents, specifications and accountable owners.
  3. Compare at least two cost and delivery scenarios.
  4. Record risks, approvals and review dates.
  5. Revalidate current regulations and quotation terms before committing.
